While the Princess was docked at Juneau, we set about taking some shore excursions. One was to a rain forest garden that had been built from a spot where there had been a landslide. the landslide had left a bunch of uprooted trees. The guy who restored the area and built the gardens saw some of the trees upside down and had the idea of taking some of the trees that had been uprooted, pounding them into the ground upside down and planting flowers in the former root systems.
