when we stopped in Juneau, we took a rafting trip down the Mendenhall River.
buses took us from the ship to a shore of a lake where we were provided with rubber boots and life jackets.
We started at the Mendenhall Glacier's lake and rafted down the Mendenhall back to Juneau, where the bus picked us up again and took us back to the ship.
The rapids were not too rough- I think 2 was the highest. At the highest one, my husband did get a boot full of water.
We had been told to bring extra socks and we did need them.
I am the one in the middle (second row from front) who is not paddling. Wayne is hard to see, in the hat beside me with the red jacket.
