After we left Colorado on Interstate 70, we came into Utah. We stopped at another rest area,
but it was rocky
so Beryl again would not do her duties. I did get some pictures of the vista
from the rest area, though.

After that we cut south on U.S. highway 191 by Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park to Moab, Utah. It was evening and by the time we got to Moab it was dark.
there was a lot of scenery we missed in that area and that is on our
list for a return trip. We did drive over to Canyonlands and I got a few pictures
before dark. My husband the geology expert says the canyons were formed
from the Colorado plateau, much as was the Grand Canyon in Arizona. First you are
driving over high desert--

Then suddenly you come to--took one pic with Wayne, one without--

After driving in the dark for about 3 hours, missing scenery, we camped at a campground
in Bluff, Utah. It was a very nice little campground and luckily we got there
just before it closed.

There was nothing else open in town, however, so we settled for the broccoli and cauliflower we had with us for supper.
