Did you ever have a picture you wanted to write on but you wanted the letters to be the color of your picture but still show up?

I had this picture and wanted a title on it but one that would match the picture.



To do this I chose to use the horizontal type mask tool in Photoshop Elements.



Actually you do not have to be sure the picture you select is a layer in order to use the type mask
tool, but I did for this one.




This is what I chose from the text tool options.



It is really weird when all the picture turns a different color than the text
you are writing. The font I used in this case happened to be bubble gum.



Somehow when you make a new layer the picture is not that odd color any more
but the text is selected. I made sure to leave it selected.



Pretty self explanatory.



Does look like you have done nothing to the pic.

But...



And there is your text. You might like one of the other bevels better.
